We did it!

This weekend the first production board rolled out and in to operational testing.  The circuit boards were a perfect fit and all parts worked exactly as specified.

After a trip through the reflow oven and some hand assembly we have the first board ready for cleaning and testing!

I did not think it would be possible to hit our first goal of a new years board but we did it.  On to smoketesting and prep for first kits to be made available.

ScentVR for Virtual Reality: Launch Date is NEAR

The hardware is nearly finished for ScentVR launch but the software is finally DONE!  The code was completed and entered beta testing this week.  The Alpha builds worked quite well but the newest version promises to be exactly what I have been looking for.

The trick to scent is to keep it subtle and the timing must be tight.  The algorithm I have implemented creates some truly random functionality while coupled with an overall cycle which will not overwhelm the user and break immersion.

Final PCB design goes out to fab next week so stay tuned
